A different way to spend your evenings

What if January evenings didn’t feel like something you had to get through?

Sober Yoga is a progressive online yoga course for beginners, designed for sober-curious moments or when you are trying to let go of a habit that no longer serves you.
Instead of reaching for a drink at wine o’clock, you step onto your mat.

This is about building a new evening ritual — one that helps you feel grounded, steady, and supported as the day winds down.

What is Sober Yoga?

Sober Yoga is a 31-day journey with 9 guided yoga classes and 4 guided meditations, created specifically for evenings. Each yoga class is practised over 3 consecutive days.

The practices are:

  • beginner-friendly

  • calm and grounding

  • supportive of nervous system regulation

  • designed to meet you where you are, not push you harder

Each class combines movement, breathwork, and moments of stillness to help you release the day and settle into the evening.

Why Yoga and breathwork help when you're not drinking

Many people drink in the evening to:

  • switch off
  • soften stress
  • quiet a busy mind
  • relax the body

Yoga and breathwork support those same needs - but in a way that builds resilience rather than reliance

Movement

Gentle, intentional movement:

  • releases physical tension held in the body

  • helps process the day through sensation rather than thought

  • reduces restlessness and agitation

  • creates a natural sense of tiredness in the evening

When the body feels worked and settled, the urge to escape often softens.

Breathing

Slow, steady breathing — helps to:

  • calm the nervous system

  • reduce anxiety and racing thoughts

  • create a sense of internal steadiness

  • give the mind something simple to focus on

For many people, breath becomes a new way to regulate emotions — a tool you can return to whenever the evening feels challenging.

Stillness

Moments of rest and guided meditation:

  • allow the body to fully settle

  • help you stay present without distraction

  • build confidence in being with yourself

  • create a sense of safety and calm

Over time, this helps evenings feel less uncomfortable and more nourishing.
